Aune Flamingo launched
The Aune Flamingo is a compact digital-to-analog converter with an integrated headphone amplifier and a hybrid design.
For the user, this means that he can choose between the warm, broad and melodic sound of the tube or the precise and clear sound of the operational amplifier at the push of a button.
The Aune Flamingo can display its converter quality up to 32bit/768k PCM or DSD 512 via USB and up to 24bit/384k and DoP128 via the coaxial input. The Aune team has put a lot of development work into the complex power circuit, which integrates voltages of 6.3V, 5V, 3.3V, ± 9V and ± 24V in a high-quality layout design. This makes the hybrid DAC headphone amplifier a precise and powerful audio component that also likes to play bigger ones.
With its variable output, it can directly drive a power amplifier or a pair of powered speakers. The 6.35mm socket or the 3.5mm adapter is available for the headphones. Everything including the seven digital filters, volume and hybrid mode is controlled via a button.
As usual from Aune, only high-quality components are used. With its aluminum housing and OLED display, it also makes a very good impression both visually and haptically.
The Aune Flamingo is also optionally available in a Bluetooth version that supports all common audio formats such as LDAC and AptX HD and thus also allows Hi-Res wirelessly.
The Aune Flamingo is available now. The non-binding sales prices for the two variants are:
Aune Flamingo tube DAC headphone amplifier: €229
Aune Flamingo BT tube DAC headphone amplifier: €289
