AudioQuest Blizzard XTRM Mains Power Cable
The XTRM version of the Blizzard power cable is terminated with custom-made hanging silver over red copper Wall plugs and IEC plugs for a superior connection to both the conductors and your equipment.
Building upon the revolutionary Monsoon Power Cable, AudioQuest has made incredible improvements to create the Blizzard Power Cable. These improvements allow the Blizzard to take the Monsoon’s benefits to a new level.
Starting with only the purest of copper conductors, the Blizzard Power Cable further reduces distortion in your system and relieves fatigue from long listening sessions. The addition of AudioQuest’s patented DBS pack dramatically reduces the noise floor above and beyond the Monsoons while retaining clearer signal transfer.
Here at Hifistudio79, we connected the Blizzard Power Cable to our power amplifier and immediately noticed an improvement within the dynamic range. The effect was breathtaking and encouraged us to extend our listening session.
If you are looking to add more power to your amplifiers and revitalize the sound to your speakers, then look no further than the AudioQuest Blizzard Power Cable.
Features

Zero Characteristic Impedance Enables Uncompressed Current Transfer
A non-technical analogy for this might be that if you drop a coin in a tube with shampoo in it, no matter how wide (low resistance) that tube, the shampoo (the Characteristic Impedance) is going to get in the way (compromise current transients). Eliminating Characteristic Impedance (Zero means No in this application) is like having only air in the tube, as close to a vacuum as possible. Whether the amp is running at less than a watt or is fully maxed out, the unrestricted transients are visceral — something the whole body understands, no words required.
Dielectric-Bias System with Radio Frequency Trap (DBS, US Pat #S 7,126,055)
AudioQuest’s DBS creates a strong, stable electrostatic field which saturates and polarizes (organizes) the molecules of the insulation. This minimizes nonlinear time delays, resulting in clearer sound emerging from a “blacker” background. The inclusion of an RF Trap ensures that radio frequency noise will not be inducted into the signal conductors from the DBS field elements.
Patented Ground Noise-Dissipation and Direction-Controlled Conductors
AC noise is present at the utility source and is then supplemented by radio, cellular, etc., noise that is picked up by the AC power cord. This noise is then coupled to the components power supplies and to circuit ground, which in turn creates distortion and low-level signal masking.
AudioQuests patented Ground Noise-Dissipation dramatically reduces radio frequency interference (RFI) linearly across an extremely wide range of frequencies, yielding an unprecedented reduction in Transient Intermodulation (TIM) distortion. You hear natural sound with an artificial bite.
On top of this, all drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting small RF-impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it will cause distortion.
High-Purity True-Concentric Conductors
Superior metal and conductor geometry greatly reduce ear-fatiguing Transient Intermodulation (TIM) Distortion. Blizzard uses only AudioQuests purest copper: 100% Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+).
Uncompressed High-Current Transfer
While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance in order to accommodate the demand for high current, a cable’s characteristic impedance is also crucial for optimal performance.
While most AC cables constrict or compress an audio-provoked transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and Zero characteristic impedance in order to deliver uncompressed high current transients on demand.
