Featuring the top of the line AK4499EQ DAC chip, the A-18 delivers industry-leading performance with ultra-low distortion and crisp high-resolution signal decoding. Flagship AKM Decoding Chip:

Performance starts from the core of the A-18 with the flagship AK4499EQ DAC chip from Asahi Kasei Technologies. This industry-leading 4-channel chip utilizes a current-output architecture in contrast to the previous generations of voltage-output chips, allowing for first-time industry-leading levels of extremely low-noise and distortion. The device has an extremely low level of Thd+N(distortion) of 124 dB with high SNR of 140dB. This HiFi chip is paired with four independent LME49860 chips for a high-performance I/V conversion circuit and two LME49860 for the LPF circuit.

MQA Decoding:

The Gustard A-18 can act as your one-point requirement for high-resolution audio signal decoding. It supports full 8X MQA decoding. MQA(Master Quality Authenticated) is the latest form of hi-res audio where extra data is wrapped on the empty spaces of the file. An MQA certified device can fully unfold these files and bring a true-to-life sound experience for its users.

High-Performance Logic Chip:

The A-18 utilizes Altera MAX II CPLD Programmable logic chip. Its self-developed logic function digital integrated circuit managing functions such as providing built-in clock management, 2nd PLL digital shaping, DOP demodulation, PCM/DSD depop switch, and other exclusive technologies, laying a solid foundation for HiFi sound performance.

Bluetooth V5.0 Connectivity:

The Gustard A-18 is equipped with CSR8675 Qualcomm’s flagship Bluetooth chip. It provides Bluetooth V5.0 connectivity with high-resolution wireless codec support such as LDAC, AptX HD, AptX LL, AptX, SBC, AAC, and more. LDAC supports the highest quality audio transmission with up to 24-Bit/96kHz bitrate support.

Multiple Input Support:

The Gustard A-18 features multiple input ports such as IIS-HDMI, USB, Coaxial, AES/EBU. It supports DSD decoding through all the input ports. Support up to DSD512 with IIS/USB input, up to DSD128 through the Coaxial input, and up to DSD64 with the AES/EBU input.
