A complete Hifi product
The SMSL A8, both digital amplifier, DAC and amplifier is a versatile Hi-Fi product that does not skimp on quality. Thus it provides incredible performance thanks in particular to its latest generation XMOS USB, the integration of two 125W ICEpower modules and the use of a DAC AK4490.
A clean and affirmed amplification
Incorporating an amplification system based on two ICEpower modules of 125W, these allow the SMSL A8 to deliver a high power while ensuring a very low distortion. Moreover, the A8 also offers an ultra low distortion phono stage to offer your turntable Hifi the output it deserves.
Full connectivity
The SMSL offers the most complete connectivity. Inputs include 1 RCA Phono MM, 1 RCA Stereo, two Coaxial inputs and two optical inputs as well as a USB with an XMOS module. At the output, the SMSL A8 remains simple and efficient with a DAC output and a set of speaker terminals (stereo).
High quality components
The A8 SMSL to provide excellent audio performance integrates high quality components. DAC side AK4490 chip takes care of the conversion taking advantage of a floating point system. For volume control, a low noise and low distortion NJW1194 chip is used. Finally, for the headphone output the amplification is done via a chip TPA6120A2 of Texas Instruments, reputed to deliver a signal low noise and offering a great dynamic range.
ASRC and Independent Modules
In order to offer superior performance, the SMSL A8 also incorporates an ASRC function to minimize jitter and background noise. In addition, to limit possible interference, SMSL has designed its design to make each module (DAC, Amplifier and Headphone Amplifier) independent.
Design & Ergonomy
Le système est intégré dans un magnifique boîtier en Aluminium noir usiné CNC, proposant un design élégant et sobre. Son écran IPS de 1.54″ assure lui une grande ergonomie, affichant à la fois le volume, la source et le taux d’échantillonage. Enfin la molette à droite de celui-ci permet de naviguer simplement dans les menus et d’accéder aux paramètres habituels.
